When I placed my order, I always order 1 or 2 that right off the bat sound great, then i always shoot for one that sounds kinda different and maybe has me scratching my head. The Painted Desert was that choice. When I tried it, I was expecting more of a Abuelas Hot Cocoa vibe, instead what I got was just a great tea with a subtle hint of chocolate and then a slight kick of chili powder on the after taste. It wasn't overpowering at all and each sip I could differentiate the different flavors . It was a very unexpected surprise and I find myself liking it more and more. I am glad I picked a random and took a chance!!!!
This is my number one favorite tee right now! The chocolate flavor is enhanced by adding a touch of sugar and the spice is perfect to gwt your motor running in the morning! Add some cream and it's like a Mexican Cacao.
I didn't get the chocolate in this.... maybe on the backend. It is, however, cinnamon forward. I like that. With each sip, I get a very slight hint of chili. The chili is not overly powering. I was eager to get in the next sip. This was the selection I was most concerned about because I can tolerate some spice; but, I like to be able to enjoy the food or beverage. It works.
I really enjoy this tea with chocolate flavor notes. The ending surprise in each sip is that pleasant kick from the chili.
