if you're experiencing bitterness with this tea, you're probably steeping it too hot. oolongs really need 190f - a temperature controlled kettle is really useful here, or let your boiling water calm down for a minute before pouring it over the leaves. that being said, oolongs like this DO have a really vegetal flavor. you either love it or hate it, but steeping it wrong isn't giving it a fair chance - no matter what, it shouldn't be bitter. this tea is gorgeous, at once airy and grounding, it's the forest floor and the leaves high up in the sky. the flavor is primarily green and vegetal, with natural floral notes and a gentle honeyed finish. drinking it feels luxurious, calming and energizing all at once. it resteeps very well, also.
