One of my new favorite teas
The juniper berry gives it a very unique taste and I love that they combined black tea and pu’erh! It's so hard to mix pu’erh with other teas and they managed to do it quite successfully!

Tastes Like: blackcurrant, juniper, honey, spruce
Feels Like: a walk through alpine woods
As the Austrian Alps warm they offer a multitude of aromas and colors. A forest walk leads to unexpected clearings redolent of grasses, herbs and wildflowers in full bloom. The bright spruce aroma overhead and earthy fir needles meld with the soil underfoot. Brushing along bushes and ground cover brings an intense burst of fragrant herbs and ripe blackcurrant berries warmed by the sun. This tea offers a majestic aromatic journey.
This fresh black tea blend evokes forest bathing in the Alps. It's an update of an earlier tea blend of the same name.
This blend emerged from the idea of a tea that captured the essence of a forest and prairie walk among the herbs and berries and sweet earth. It's got a lovely bouquet of dark berries like juniper and blackcurrant alongside rosemary, thyme and cornflower. There is a very light touch of pu'erh for some extra depth. If you are unfamiliar with pu'erh tea, it is a special fermented black tea that is prized for digestive and other health properties.
For our 2024 version, I decided to soften the herbaceous and earthy flavors by adding honey granules. It is not a sweet tea to my tastebuds.
This tea is an aromatic spa experience. Lovers of wildflower honey, juniper and gin will appreciate this flavor.
There are those who will shy away from this tea for its juniper, the pu'erh, or the herbs. I've tried to strike a lovely balance where no ingredient dominates. My hope is that this blend will be a delightful experience for anyone who's looking for a truly unique flavor..
I'd love for you to try it hot and iced. Add a splash of your favorite milk. If you're inclined to add more honey, please do. This is a blend that defies the usual flavor categories found in tea. It's a lot to ponder in each sip.
I can't wait to hear what you think.
Warmly,

I figured a tea listed as Wildflower Honey black tea would be sweet and flowery, but the rosemary & thyme overshadow most of the other flavors. I couldn't even finish the first cup. :( If they weren't so strong it would probably be good but I just can't get past the savory overtones. Really disappointed in this one.

First I confess that I often like my tea with honey and oat milk and even a splash of cream. If I’ve lost you, well, hang on.
Opening the bag, I was struck by how fragrant this tea is; in particular the juniper stands out, and the tea is packed with beautiful little juniper berries. Over the course of a few days I tried Innsbruck hot and plain, hot with only honey, hot with honey and oat milk, and finally today I tried it iced and plain. I’m so glad I did because iced is my favorite!
I’m not a fan of it hot and straight. The flavors were too overpowering, with the juniper out front and the thyme and rosemary right behind. I wanted those honey granules to stand out more. Adding some honey really brought out the flavor of the black tea, and adding oat milk on top of that mellowed the other flavors a bit. I liked it prepared this way, but I wasn’t sure it’s something I would crave or want to purchase again. This morning I tried it iced, and wow. The delicious black tea stood out while the other flavors receded a bit, and it mellowed into a smooth, refreshing iced tea with nothing else added. I could see this becoming a summer staple!
Definitely reminiscent of a walk in the woods, but not a dark and dank walk (which has its own beauty). This is a walk with warmth and shafts of sunlight filtering through the leaves, the warmth stirring up scents of earth, bramble, fruits, herbs, tree leaves and needles. At least for the length of time it takes to finish this cup you are free and unencumbered in the woods. This should appeal to lovers of Black Metallic and Gold Rush.
This review is for iced tea but the aroma of this tea as it brews is amazingly relaxing. It’s light but rich with delicate notes of herbs and grasses tumbling together. I so happy to have tried this because it’s going to replace a tea I love but have to order from the UK with an exorbitant shipping cost. Strongly suspect this will be my new go-to tea.
