Delicious dessert tea
This is a delicious tea for dessert or evening sipping. My only complaint, and it is something I can to a certain extent correct, is that the taste is somewhat weak. Admittedly, I prefer a very strong, black tea like a Lapsang Souchong, so I may be an outlier on this issue. I will keep a stock on hand and just brew it stronger in the future.
August Uncommon Tea
Thank you for your honest review, Mike C. We're sorry to hear that the tea is not as strong as you like. Here’s what you can try to improve strength. Use spring or tap water. Distilled water and reverse osmosis water are missing the minerals that make tea taste strong and vibrant. Sometimes, you may not know that your water is distilled or RO water. Your water may be filtered without your knowledge, by the building or city. Next is use more tea. Each package suggests 3.5g (about a tablespoon) of tea for a 10oz standard mug. You might prefer a stronger tea, so try adding a little more tea to find the best amount for you. And if your mug is larger than 10oz, you will need more tea leaves per cup. The last factor in strength is time. We recommend 5 minutes to start. A longer infusion will taste stronger. Sometimes, it’s simply that a tea you ordered is too mild for your taste. We stand by our love it or your money-back guarantee, so please email us if you would prefer a refund for this tea.
