It’s a GOOD morning.
For too long i allowed the “smoky” description of this tea to deter me from trying it. Now that I’ve tried this tea it has become one of my favorite morning - wake up - tea choices. I rotate between The library, Low Country, Silencio and Breakfast. The Assam is the strongest note with a warm vanilla that adds a very subtle sweetness and there’s just enough of the lap-sang souchong blended nicely with the Ceylon and Assam that it’s a subtle back-end sophisticated smoky note without being overpowering. The description of custard and shortbread make it sound overly sweet but it isn’t to me. It’s a very comforting, delicious with a splash of milk, strong and smooth black tea. I far prefer loose leaf tea to tea bags. This tea looks like a quality product- beautiful full cured tea leaves - no tea dust here.
