If you're not using a scale to measure your tea, this is a great start. This BPA-free clear plastic scoop measures 1 tablespoon of tea. Remember, tablespoons measure by volume and not by weight. This will get you close to our recommended 3.5 grams of tea per cup for standard black teas.

I use this to scoop loose tea for my heart tea brewer (can’t remember what it is called but it opens to put tea inside then close and put in mug to brew.). I use a very large mug and this brews enough to fill the mug and I reuse it for a second cup depending on amount of tea I put inside. It hasn’t stained and so far it hasn’t broken since I tend to drop things a lot.
