I’m baffled by the good reviews of this tea when the orange flavor is so bitter that it’s undrinkable to me, to the point it takes like a cleaning product. Did I get a bad batch with pith in the orange causing horrible bitterness? Maybe. I brewed it according to the instructions and even tried cold brewing for only 20 minutes, which should produce the least bitterness. It’s not user error or lack of trying. It’s the tea. Also, FYI for those considering it, this is one of those “teas” that contains few tea leaves and a lot of other things like almonds, etc. in it. Some people like that type. No judgment. But for me (more of a Rishi brand type of tea drinker) it’s usually a red flag in a tea. Thankfully this was a gift, so I’m not out anything for having tried it. I’m still shocked by the extreme bitterness, though. Sadly it was so bad that I won’t be buying from this brand in the future.

To be honest, I was not a fan of the orange flavor in this tea. The strong smell and taste over powered the other flavors. I’m glad I only bought a sample. Luckily, there are so many teas from August I do love!

Great taste second time to buy.

I drink this tea when I want to relax, calm down or just be. What I appreciate about August Uncommon Tea is that each of the flavor notes speak out and are delicious on the palate and soothing to the soul. This is a go to on busy, need to get things done days. Offered this to a friend when she was having a moment and she melted into the experience and was able to reset, rewind and do what she needed to do.

Wasn't sure if would bother my GRED,, but it doesn't. I am very pleased with the great taste and aroma.
