I've obtained multiple variations of August tea over the years. This one is unique for both hot and iced applications. It's roasted overtones aligns well to an afternoon tea with enough bite to satisfy those who socialize with a cocktail. Add honey and a little cream to turn it into a dessert based tea experience.

I've tried other "whiskey" advertised and barrel oriented teas and this one definitely stands out.

Would buy again.

I do like or love most August tea blends, and this is one of them.

This was my first time trying Painted Desert. Description on the packaging is right on, Crisp - not too strong but you can taste the ceylon black tea. The cinnamon and chili are also not overpowering. This would be a great tea for early fall. Not something I'd drink everyday but a five star tea based on what they describe.

I've enjoyed most of August teas so far. This one is not for me. It definitely has some kick to it, which I am not a fan of. When they say chili, they actually mean it. I don't think its a bad tea, just not for me.

I was looking for the orange blossoms and amaretto on the label, but all I got was anise! When I got such a strong licorice flavor I checked the ingredients and found both anise and star anise. I'm sorry, but this tea is not for me.
