Decaf Dark Iris has the complex flavor of the original Dark Iris, but almost no caffeine so you can enjoy any time of day or night. It is decaffeinated black tea using the nontoxic CO2 decaffeination process. The iris has been the favorite flower of royalty and artists for centuries. The accord of lime blossom and creamy vanilla in this tea evokes the scent of iris. At first, the bright acidity of peach and lime dominate. The next sip deepens with the velvetiness of roasted oolong with peach and rose notes. Adding milk introduces pistachio and white chocolate flavors. Chilling this tea deepens its earthiness to bring out roasted peach and rose notes. An experience as mysterious and elegant as the intoxicating spring flower.

Dark Iris is an uncommon classic. This rich blend of peach, rose, pistachio and oolong tea is our best-selling oolong and iced tea of all time. I just had to give Dark Iris fans another way to enjoy it in decaffeinated form.

This fruity floral tea was inspired by a dish I had in Barcelona over a decade ago. The ingredients were visually stunning and their unusual combination made perfect sense to my palate. I had to translate these flavors into a tea, and the result was equally magical.

I didn't expect Dark Iris to reach cult status, but it did.Dark Iris is not a typical peach tea. It's deep yet bright, it's rich and mysterious yet refreshing. This is why I chose Georgia O'Keefe painting as the feeling of Dark Iris.I prefer Dark Iris hot with a splash of milk. It makes a dynamite latte. I think Decaf Dark Iris needs no sugar, but it gets peachier if you add sweetener.

As previously mentioned, this is our top-selling iced tea, so please, try it over ice.This is a springtime tea full of rose and lime blossom to complement the peach flavor. Beyond the wonderful flavor, what makes this tea special is its texture. The uncommon twist is the white chocolate and pistachio. These two elements create the unique texture of Dark Iris. We retained as much of the original formulation as possible. I've tasted Decaf Dark Iris and Dark Iris back to back and they are nearly identical. There is a small difference in the decaffeinated version: it's decaffeinated black tea so it is very slightly less floral than the original. This is because there aren't dark roasted decaffeinated oolongs on the market yet. If you monitor your caffeine, please note that this tea is not 100% caffeine free. We use the same CO2 decaffeination process because it is non-toxic and retains the natural flavor of the tea. This decaffeination process removes 96-97%.

Hot Brewing 10 oz

Heat 212°f/100°c water
Add 3.5g tea, about 2 teaspoons
Pour 10oz/300ml hot water
Infuse 4-5 mins. Longer is stronger.
Repeat Reinfuse 1-2 times

Iced Brewing 10 oz

Heat 212°f/100°c water
Add 3.5g tea, about 2 teaspoons
Pour ~3oz hot water to barely cover tea leaves
Infuse 4-5 mins. Longer is stronger.
Dilute with 7oz cold water
Serve Over ice
