So, upon opening the bag, the aroma is pretty sweet and strong. It offers a dark liquor, and when you take your first sip, that vanilla hits you like a punch in the face, which, if you like vanilla, then it should be right up your alley. I didn't get any of the smokiness, in my cup, so this just isn't my cup of tea. My friend with whom I was sharing a pot, was of the same mindset, that it is just too much vanilla. However, please don't let this review deter you from trying this tea. YOU might find it pleasing to your own personal palette. This is my personal opinion towards the Breakfast Tea, and you can take it, or leave it. I was recommended this tea, by a fellow tea lover, who absolutely loves this tea, and always has some in her house. But personally, I will be happy when my sample bag is empty.
