I love this tea so much, it is a perfect balance of smoke and spice from the cardamom. Really hoping to see it come back some day, nothing compares to this blend. Smoky teas are hard to nail without them succumbing to pure campfire taste and this blend does it so perfectly. Please reconsider discontinuing!!!
I love breathing in the spicy notes as I sip Civil Disobedience. It is a wonderful brew with milk and sugar, a lovely way to start the day.
Not thrilled with Civil Disobedience seemed very weak and not smokey at all.

I have had a subscription for Civil Disobedience for more than five years. When I needed a new morning drink after I had to quit coffee, I sampled my way through nearly every one of the August Uncommon black teas and found four I liked enough to have a subscription to, and rotate through them for my morning wake-up. I love cardamom, and this tea definitely had the goods. The smokiness was a nice balance with the strong cardamom taste.
But now it's going away and I am angry. This was not only a part of my morning routine, but something I shared with my mom, before dementia took her away. So it has strong emotional connection as well. I feel it was the wrong decision, August, and while I am currently keeping my other prescriptions, I can't help but be deeply disappointed and quite angry at you for this, and may decide ultimately that this is not the place for me any longer. We shall see.
Rich and flavorful, with just a touch of smoke. I can't believe you're discontinuing it.
