Hearty, Earthy, Sweet
I am in love with this tisane! It tastes almost like a mellower pu'erh with a hint of chocolate. But maybe that description is misleading: it truly is a unique taste. Even compared to the popular barley teas in Korea and China, this has a taste of that but still has something more with the anise and chocolate. It's like a homemade slice of herby wheat bread with a crust covered in seeds, a spread of butter, drizzled on honey, and sprinkled with cocoa powder. It feels both rural and luxurious; could be a dessert drink or a morning pick-me-up. A must try.
