The intoxicating scent of this tea conjures velvety cake on an afternoon in the countryside. Soft, sugar-laden butter glides across the tongue to meet tiny aromatic vanilla seeds apparent in the bottom of the cup. Intense vanilla is balanced by the earthy depth of cardamom and green tea. This tea is a modern take on Proust's tea-soaked Madeleine.

I can’t remember the last time I drank green tea, but I’m glad this was the first one I was reintroduced with. Congratulations was a free sample and I was skeptical at first, but pleasantly surprised. Very smooth and not bitter at all like most green teas. Can taste the hay and pound cake notes in that order.
