This sweetly spiced plum black tea welcomes you in from the cold. Dark plum is perfectly complemented by a medium bodied blend of malty black tea, floral oolong and earthy pu’erh tea. Inhale an aroma of familiar comfort: spiced cake baking in the oven of a warm cabin. Deep molasses mingles with vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove and dark plum. The first sip is soft and tannic with a tingle of spice and floral plum flavor in the finish. Carrot, peach and plum brighten the rich cake notes with jammy sweetness. This blend is an ode to Nordic winter wonderlands. The darkest, coldest days are magically uplifted by holiday rituals: the light of candles, the comfort of a blazing fire, and the joy of gathering friends and family over spiced drinks and fruit cakes.

Northern Lights plum spice black tea is inspired by the cozy winter drinks of Northern Europe. Glühwein and glögg (or gløgg) are different winter drinks that warm you up from the inside out. The complex flavor of Northern Lights tea evokes traditional Scandinavian gløgg parties where each guest brings a bottle of liqueur, wine or spirit to add to the spiced drink warming on the stove. By the end of the party, the gløgg achieves a unique flavor from the particular combination of ingredients.

This is a medium-bodied black tea that combines bold Assam and Pu’erh with two special orchid-scented oolong teas: Da Hong Pao and Qilan. Real dried plum, carrot and peach add natural fruity sweetness to this exquisite aromatic tea base. The final touch is a complex aromatic spice blend inspired by Danish gløgg, which has aquavit and fruit liqueurs with sweet spices. The rich plum and carrot flavors come alive with vanilla, cinnamon and a whisper of clove.

Brewing Northern Lights is nearly as delightful as drinking it. Its wonderful aroma fills the kitchen while you wait for it to infuse. Add 3.5g tea, about 2 teaspoons
Pour 10oz/300ml hot water
Infuse 4-5 mins. Longer is stronger.
Repeat Reinfuse 1-2 times

Iced Brewing 10 oz

Heat 212°f/100°c water
Add 3.5g tea, about 2 teaspoons
Pour ~3oz hot water to barely cover tea leaves
Infuse 4-5 mins. Longer is stronger.
Dilute with 7oz cold water
Serve Over ice
