This citrus green tea is a seduction of the senses. In the first sip, you encounter sweet woodsy spice, then creamy orange and vanilla. It ends with orange peel and hay notes. Imagine wandering the ancient city of Tangier the birthplace of tangerines, bolder cousin of the orange. This tea is inspired by the Moroccan medina, a sensual wonderland where spices, incense, and tangerines dance in the air. It is superb on ice. Add a scoop of ice cream for a dreamy creamsicle experience.

🔥 Brewing Directions

Hot Brewing 10 oz

Heat 175°f/80°c water
Add 3.5g tea, about 2 teaspoons
Pour 10oz/300ml hot water
Infuse 4-5 mins. Longer is stronger.
Repeat Reinfuse 1-2 times

Iced Brewing 10 oz

Heat 175°f/80°c water
Add 3.5g tea, about 2 teaspoons
Pour ~3oz hot water to barely cover tea leaves
Infuse 4-5 mins. Longer is stronger.
Dilute with 7oz cold water
Serve Over ice

Pro tip: If you want more concentrated flavor, try doubling the tea leaves in this recipe.

One of my favorites!
We drink many of the August Uncommon teas (gold rush, dirty chai, passage, civil disobedience, low country, mood indigo & the library are our black tea favorites; combray and now tangerine dream among herbal/greens as well). Tangerine Dream is our newest preference, especially when brewing iced tea. It is naturally slightly sweet, but tempered perfectly by the citrus balancing of tangerine and stands up to ice and hot weather exceptionally well.

Absolute favorite!
