On its own, this tea is a strong, malty black tea with hints of cherry weaves around the layers of dark chocolate. A touch of milk softens the tannins and brings out the fruity sweetness of cherry. Tried this for the first time today and really enjoyed it - like drinking a cup full of chocolate covered cherries! The flavor is bold, outweighing the black tea.
I steeped about 2 tablespoons in 16oz of water at 190f for about 7-8 minutes and added the same amount of agave and honey that I normally do which was way too sweet, but still drinkable. The next time, I’ll cut back since the blend already has some sweetness to it.
