On its own, this tea is a strong, malty black tea with hints of cherry weaves around the layers of dark chocolate. A touch of milk softens the tannins and brings out the fruity sweetness of cherry. I recently received my sample of Cabaret — Cherry Chocolate Black Tea and was anxious to give it a try. I opened the package and smelled the contents. I have to be honest it brought back unpleasant memories of what I think was cocoa that the lady who lived next to my bus stop as a child put on her roses as fertilizer. But I went ahead and made the tea according to the instructions. I decided to chill it and drink it cold. I’m waiting for it to be ready now.
