Black Lodge and Salted Caramel Ice Cream Float

This is truly an interdimensional ice cream float. It harkens back to early 90s iced coffee with a splash of caramel syrup. When salted caramel ice cream meets the banana and truffle umami notes of this tea, you get the flavor of a smoke-kissed iced coffee.

Makes 1 drink
Prep time: 30 minutes for tea concentrate

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons (7 grams) Black Lodge tea 
  • One large scoop of salted caramel ice cream

Preparation

  • Infuse 2 tablespoons Black Lodge tea with 10 ounces 212°F water for 5 minutes. Strain. We prefer this float unsweetened, but if you like sweet tea, add ½-1 teaspoon of sugar or honey.
  • Pour tea concentrate into glass.
  • Add a large scoop of salted caramel ice cream. We like the tea to be a little warm so the ice cream melts faster.
  • Add a straw. Enjoy!
