Arabian Sunrise (bonus mocktail recipe)

Arabian Sunrise (bonus mocktail recipe)

This riff on the Tequila Sunrise is fun, bubbly, and easy on the eyes. Our super-aromatic Arabesque green tea with orange and vanilla makes a dynamite remix of this classic 80s tequila cocktail. We infused silver tequila with Arabesque to add a bit of dreamsicle flavor and soda water to lighten the mouthfeel. This recipe is as easy as it is gorgeous. It will be a hit at your next cocktail party or as a pitcher drink for your next BBQ.

Recipe makes 2 drinks.
Allow 30 minutes for tequila infusion.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (3.5 grams) Arabesque tea
  • 5 ounces tequila*
  • ½ ounce grenadine
  • 4 ounces Italian lemon soda
  • Cherry (optional)

Preparation

  • In a glass container, add 1 tablespoon Arabesque tea to 5 ounces of tequila
  • Infuse for 30 minutes, stirring or shaking every 10 minutes.
  • Remove tea from tequila by pouring it into a glass through a fine mesh strainer.
  • Fill a highball glass with crushed ice.
  • Pour in grenadine.
  • Add 2 ounces Arabesque-infused tequila per glass.
  • Fill glass with lemon soda.
  • Garnish with a cherry.
  • Enjoy!

*Makes 4 ounces of Arabesque-infused tequila. You will lose 0.5-1 ounce of liquid in the infusion process from tea leaf absorption.

Arabesque Mocktail

Part of what makes this such a fantastic mocktail is that the woodsy vanilla aroma of Arabesque is so similar to the clean yet earthy floral scent of silver tequila. We don’t think it needs tequila to have those tequila vibes. This alcohol-free drink will surprise you with its full-throttle flavor.

  • Infuse 2 tablespoons Arabesque tea with 10 ounces 176°F water for 5 minutes. Strain and cool to room temperature. Refrigeration causes cloudy tea.
  • Fill a highball glass with crushed ice.
  • If making 2 drinks, double the amount of all ingredients.
  • Pour in grenadine.
  • Add Arabesque concentrate.
  • Fill glass with lemon soda.
  • Garnish with a cherry.
  • Enjoy!
